BATTLE OF THE DUPES #30: The Inkey List vs. The Ordinary
I wanted to battle the two skincare brands out against each other. PACKAGING (The Inkey List): A very basic box but that seems to be their signature look with a tiny plastic bottle. PACKAGING (The Ordinary): Another simple box with a glass bottle with a pipette. CLAIMS (The Inkey List): Chemical exfoliant containing Lactic Acid, a natural AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) derived from maize that helps to loosen and remove dead skin cells from skin's surface 10% lactic acid for mild ex

BATTLE OF THE DUPES #17: Essie vs. OPI
I had these two in my collection and thought 'oh, are these a dupe?' so I put them to the test. PACKAGING ( Essie ): I am a bit OCD when it comes to my nail polish, I love the squared/rectangular packaging because they store easier and nicer. PACKAGING (OPI): OPI's packaging isn't bad, the bottle looks sleek and is well known as OPI. CLAIMS (Essie): Provides flawless coverage along with outstanding durability Brush fits every nail size for streak-free application Intense rich

BATTLE OF THE DUPES #13: Essie vs. OPI
I have mentioned a few times (I think) that my favourite nail polish is Essie in Fiji, it's a really nice colour on pale skin tones as well as dark, I saw that there is an OPI dupe for it (according to Pinterest) and I have that shade in my collection so thought I would put them to the test. Prepped my nails prior to painting them by filing, buffing and pushing my cuticles back. First coat is patchy. Second coat and both still patchy. Third coat and the Essie is a solid colou

BATTLE OF THE DUPES #11: Essie vs. Nails Inc
I thought this Nails Inc shade was limited edition but it turns out that it's not, I got this in a magazine I have buffed and filed my nails as well as paint my nails with a base coat (CND Creative Play Base Coat). Now before I start I will explain how I am going to do this so I didn't think it would be fair to paint one hand with one nail polish and the other with the other nail polish because I am right handed so I generally get more wear and tear on them so going alphabeti

BATTLE OF THE DUPES #8: Essie vs. Sally Hansen
I found two photos of my nails and thought they looked similar so I have decided to see if they are dupes. I have buffed and filed my nails as well as paint my nails with a base coat. Now before I start I will explain how I am going to do this so I didn't think it would be fair to paint one hand with one nail polish and the other with the other nail polish because I am right handed so I generally get more wear and tear on them so going alphabetical with brands I will start on

BATTLE OF THE DUPES #1: Barry M vs. Sinful Colors
For the month of June I plan to do blog posts every Saturday finding dupes for either expensive or limited edition products. Now when I test out products such as todays post I do half and half, I don't apply one nail polish on one hand and the other is the other polish what I do is alternate nails starting with Barry M then Sinful Colors then Barry M then Sinful Colors (I do it alphabetical). Before applying the nail polishes I prepped my nails with my favourite base coat whi
